About PPDS
Having gained over 20 years experience in the design, manufacture and supply of powder processing equipment and systems, Nigel Thomas founded Powder Process Design Services Ltd (PPDS) in 2004.
After 15 years with NEI International Combustion Ltd, home of the HARDINGE Ball Mill, LOPULCO Table-Roller Mill and RAYMOND Ring-Roller Mill, in 1995 Nigel joined the Hosokawa Micron Group, widely acknowledged to be the world leading supplier of powder processing solutions.
Working closely with Hosokawa Alpine AG, Nigel gained valuable experience in the processing of chemicals, ceramics, powder coatings, pigments, plastics and foodstuffs but it was in recognition of his outstanding efforts and achievements in the industrial minerals sector that he received the Hosokawa Micron Group Presidents Award in 2002.
In 2003, Nigel left Hosokawa to pursue opportunities in the recycling sector where he applied his experience and expertise to design and build what at that time was a state-of-the-art container glass processing plant.
In March 2004, Nigel founded PPDS to serve the powder processing needs of companies in the industrial minerals, ceramics, chemicals and recycling sectors.
The aim of PPDS is to meet and indeed exceed customer’s requirements and expectations by providing innovative process solutions which are both technically sound and competitively priced.
